Evidence Database

How to Use This Resource

In order to effectively educate the community around the hidden events and culture of Sequoia Union High School District, we have taken the time to develop an easily accessible system that organizes evidence we have gathered spanning many years.

For too long, SUHSD has relied on lawsuit settlements and a culture of performative gestures, intimidation, and retaliation to push major issues to the side. When people leave the district, their stories and sacrifices to bring harsh realities forward disappears. This makes it harder for the community to track events over time and notice glaring patterns and trends. This also makes it harder for those who create and maintain a harmful culture to be held accountable.

One goal of this resource is to empower the community to take action by creating an enduring public record that will help us develop metrics and numbers that inevitably lead to true accountability. This resource will grow to allow visitors to easily find the type of evidence they need quickly and on any device.

Types of Evidence Covered
  • News articles

  • Public board comment transcripts

  • Lawsuit filings and updates

  • Statements from the community

  • Policy updates

  • Events that have taken place

These are just a few types of evidence this database will cover. As time progresses, we will add more categories.

The Timeline

Our first major step in this process is to document news that has been covered going as far back as possible. Eventually, starting with the 2025-2026 school year, we will provide our opinions on these articles and break down what we see happening in terms of leadership failures, required services that are not being provided, laws that are being broken, and more.
